The TnM Co. · A Ritual Practice

The Morning Ritual

As light first touches the room, this infusion asks little of you. Steep it slowly. Sit with it. Begin the day with presence, not urgency.

Four gentle steps

A small ceremony, held slowly.

  1. Step 1

    Boil fresh water

Let it come to a gentle rolling boil. No rush. Listen to the sound it makes.

  2. Step 2

    Steep for five minutes

Cover the cup. Let the botanicals unfurl slowly, giving up their color and quiet warmth.

  3. Step 3

    Take one deep breath

Before the first sip, exhale the night before. Inhale the room you're in.

  4. Step 4

    Notice three things around you

The light on the wall. A sound outside. The weight of the cup in your hand.

When to hold it

In the first hour of the day — before the phone, before the list. Whenever your morning actually begins.

How to make it

  1. 1Bring fresh water to a gentle boil and let it settle for a moment.
  2. 2Add one teaspoon of the blend to your cup and pour the water over it.
  3. 3Cover and steep for four to five minutes.
  4. 4Strain, hold the cup in both hands, and take one slow breath before the first sip.
